3yrs +

Kids love Dinosaurs! And our collection of 6 ecosystem information boards are a wonderful introduction to Dinosaurs. Each board is engraved, using NSW Foundation Font, with details of the Dinosaurs name, their skeleton, what they eat and an interesting fact about them.  The beautiful images are printed on the outer side of the Perspex, giving them a unique 3D effect. Timber stands are also included in the set, so you can have them sitting up on display or explore them on a lightbox.

EDUCATIONAL APPLICATIONS

Individual

Use to dress up a dinosaur themed interest table or discovery table. Use this to further extend on a child's interest.

Group Setting

Use the Prehistoric Eco System as a guide in Group discussions to promote an understanding of dinosaur's habits and habitats. Get children to reconstruct ancient environments. Ask questions like how do we get this information? what do they eat? Where do they live? How tall? How small? Were there other living animals that lived amongst the dinosaurs? These are great tools for open ended discussions.

Outdoors

Have the children compare their own ecosystem to the Dinosaurs, pointing out environments, plants, rocks, etc. By doing so this can create a visual guided discussion about how our planet has changed from then to now helping the children to develop a greater understanding of our world as a whole.

Learning Opportunities

By applying the ecosystems to their discussions and play, the children can develop their social skills, learning opportunities, cognitive development and connect to their world promoting a deeper sense of belonging.
